We had a lovely time in this beautiful home celebrating my 40th birthday with friends from the Midwest, USA. Gorgeous views, food, & wine – we loved our day trip to Cinque Terre and Florence and lazy days by the pool. The mountains and sunsets rival anywhere in the world. Alessandra & Co. were fantastic chefs and the local shops lovely as well. Thank you for a memorable week.

A beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. Life really should be like this all the time….Casa Lucia is very special – a stunning location, beautiful surroundings and such an amazing home If only we could have stayed another week – still, with luck, we can come back. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Loved seeing the restoration photos.

What a special house…. The view is breathtaking and the design of the house is fabulous. We used the house as home base for trips to Florence, Cinque Terre, and Lerici. We also explored the nearby countryside. It was a great treat to have Danilo and Elisa make the outstanding pizza feast. Thank you for all your great suggestions of activities. Casa Lucia will forever be embedded in our memories!
Scot, Suzanne, Sarah, & Matthew Smith, Dallas TX.

Under the Tuscan Sun…..We came along with Scot and Suzanne to your amazing Casa Lucia to spend a magical week in this memorable region. From Florence to Cinque Terre, your home was the perfect location to visit these special places. Thanks for sharing the “artistry” of your home. “Complimenti” to your vision in creating Casa Lucia.
Donna and Isabelle, Brooklyn, NYC.

A wonderful time in a unique house and setting… Loved having a pool all to ourselves… A relaxing place. Grandson has had a ball running about garden and jumping in swimming pool. Our daughter and son-in-law were here for their honeymoon in September 2011 an loved it so much we all came for son-in-law’s 40th. They loved the new features, the road and gazebo.
John, Linda, Lauren, Mark, & Caleb, Aberdeen, Scotland.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Lucia. We especially loved sunbathing by the pool, admiring the view and spotting eagles. Despite the road, we took several day trips visiting Lucca, Cinque Terre and attempting to climb the spectacular mountains that can be seen from the house. We had a spectacular pizza feast courtesy of Danilo and Elisa (16! A new record!) which inspired us to fire up the oven and make our own during our 2nd week here.
Emily (Oxford), Katie & Ryan (Horsham), UK.

I had an amazing time in Casa Lucia. I really loved the garden, especially the pool and pool house. I also loved the croquet set. The pizza oven was amazing and so was the view! A brilliant two weeks!
Clare, Gowrock, Scotland.

Lovely to have all the family together here at Casa Lucia. A beautiful house, gardens, and view. A joy to return to the tranquility here after our days out. The weather could have been kinder for our second week but the rain gave us an excuse to try ‘Da Remo- excellent antipasti and friendly service. Kids enjoyed the pool – and the midnight swimming.

Sometimes we are lucky enough to glimpse a little bit of heaven on earth – Casa Lucia is it! We adore everything about this wonderful home, the fabulous setting and the glorious wild life. On cold wet, gloomy days in England, I shall remember the swallows diving over the pool, and the view …the very special meal to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary was perfect and something we will always remember. Till the next time, every blessing and many thanks.
Mike, Sue & Hughie Patrick, England.

This is a return visit for us and the Patrick family and we wonder if our children will come back in future years with their families … The poolside cabana is a great addition.
Juliet, Simon, Grace & Isabelle Nicholls, UK.

A wonderful place to spend a family holiday and a view we will never forget. Many thanks.

La vita e bella alla Casa Lucia! This site is unbelievable, no words can describe it, only the peoples who have seen it. Dream site, dream house and dream vacation for us. Thanks for the opportunity from my family to yours. Merci! Meilleurs salutations!
Louise and family, Montreal, Canada.

Everything about Casa Lucia has been perfect. The pool was the best part of the holiday for my 4 year old granddaughter – but the views, the peacefulness, and the wonderful casa itself made this a holiday to remember. The pizza night was fabulous – more than enough to feed us on the first night and the next 2 lunches! … A week wasn’t really long enough, but maybe we will be back! Stunning, breath-taking, awe-inspiring – best way to describe the view. House is beautiful, but more importantly, beautiful people. Alessandra and Elysa, Diego and Danilo truly made our trip that much more special. The dinners were fabulous and their company even better. Thank you for sharing your home and for your hospitality. A truly a magical place.

Very much enjoyed our relaxing time in this off-the-beaten-track part of Tuscany. It was lovely to wake each day to the mountain view and we had the very exciting and visual experience of an electrical storm which lasted all night! That you for providing such a wonderful home in a unique setting.

Our second visit and somehow it was even more magical that the first! We all loved the subtle new additions around the place and the tattoia by the pool was a godsend. As usual, Diego et al went out of their way to help and make sure everything was perfect. Our only regret, as always, is that we didn’t have enough time to do all the things we wanted. Maybe next year….All the best, James & James, Susanne & Stuart, Wilma & Ross, and Neil. P.S. Congratulations on your choice of architect/interior designer. The finishes are first class, lots of thought, kitchen equipment very good.
James Smith.

So nice to be able to see this part of the world – truly, a little piece of heaven. Church bells, birds, cows, and lavender, all set against a spectacular backdrop of the A-Alps. Maybe return someday to come back to such beauty and peace.
Kathy, Cindy, Ben, and Sam, Framingham, MA.

What a gift this place is! The views and the location and the house exceeded all of our expectations. I love the way you’ve equipped the kitchen – there was nothing else I needed for cooking.
Christina.

We thought it was beautiful here and definitely want to come back! We liked it when Danilo and Elysa came to make pizza for us, and we even tried making them ourselves! The pool was refreshing and the grass was a great area to play soccer. Thanks again.
The Holders, California.

What a fantastic location! Better than I thought or could have imagined. The views are out of this world… Everything in the house is fantastic with a well-equipped kitchen! You have all the gadgets required. Thanks for a great week (but not long enough!)

What a wonderful view, wonderful house. We all had such a wonderful time!!! The family love it here and we can see why you guys chose this place. We certainly don’t have this in Hong Kong!

The view takes your breath away. The church bells are charming. The house — a truly Tuscan comfort home… Of course we fantasized about finding a little piece of heaven as you have and building a home and planting olive and wine groves. We then marveled that you had the courage to do so! Thank you for letting us enjoy your great adventure. P.S. The pool is awesome! Thanks for giving us the toys to use! P.S. Horses are awesome! (McKenna); I liked the pool, I liked the pool. P.S. Your house is awesome! (Sam); I liked the pool and the pink float! P.S. Your yard is a great soccer field! (Tim); This is a great vacation place! It is an awesome place to swim because it is so hot and the pool is refreshing. The house has a great vibe! (Ben).

What a fantastic home you have created in such a wonderful location. Sitting on the terrace looking out towards the village over coffee has truly been one of the most relaxing moments of my life! Everything we could have possibly needed was provided and this really did make for a relaxing break. Many thanks for letting us share this very special place, if only for a week.

August / September 2011
We were very hesitant about booking through Owners Direct having previously always used agents to book Italian properties but our experience has been fantastic, Susan is very responsive, personable and incredibly efficient. As a family of 3 generations on holiday it is quite hard to meet all of our requirements but Casa Lucia did. The web site was totally accurate in its description and photographs, the house, accommodation, gardens and pool were absolutely beautiful and so carefully looked after by Diego, the Property Manager. However nothing could have prepared us for the extraordinarily stunning location, the views were ever changing – from the garden, pool and bedrooms. We enjoyed the dragon flies and swallows dipping in the pool for a day time drink, the night life of deer, toads and the noise of the donkey in the distance! Sadly we were only here for a week and rarely strayed apart from visits to stock up on food and drink. The pizza oven was superb, just follow the instructions to make the most perfect tasting pizzas. We certainly hope to return after such a wonderful week. The Strangeway/Al Sayigh families, England.

A week really hasn’t been long enough! What an incredibly tranquil, beautiful spot you have found. We could spend forever watching the spectacular clouds move across the mountains. This has been such a peaceful week – full of family fun and a long-needed rest. You have created a lovely home-from-home; so well equipped yet wonderfully cut off. Thank you so much. We can’t wait to return!
Rebekah and Stewart, UK.

A gathering of friends, our families together here to enjoy the offerings of Casa Lucia. Amazing clouds, a gentle breeze, an enormous midnight storm brings a bright clear blue day. Our days are filled with beautiful food, long dinners, cozy conversations and wine. The kids in the pool, playing in the garden. The church bells remind us of the time as the hours slip away. The mountain brings us home from our journeys, passing the goat herder, the men in the fields, and the neighbors in Alebbio. The strength of the land surrounds us. A perfect setting – thank you!

We have loved our week at the bella Casa Lucia. What a spectacular location and amazing home you have created here. From the adventure of getting to this beautiful location to the gorgeous views of the mountains that change with the time of day and the weather and the many relaxing sitting and eating areas to view this from – it was a great place to spend time with family after travelling around Italy for two weeks prior. Of course the kids loved the pool – couldn’t get enough of it. We also enjoyed our lunch at Locando del Lucido and having pizza cooked for us by Danilo and Elysa. We will always remember this special time at Casa Lucia. Grazie.
Julia, Vitas, and family, California.

What a joy to be included with our family in your beautiful home. We loved the many places to gather – to eat, read, visit, play games and just relax. After three days in Rome it was a welcome respite. You have created a true treasure here. Thank you so much for allowing us to have this experience.

Wow! What a wonderful magical place! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Melissa & Andrew Griffiths, San Francisco.

The situation of Casa Lucia, with its spectacular views, is just stunning…we had the most peaceful and tranquil time I can remember with only the occasional church bells to break the silence – a real balm to the spirit. The perfect exterior of the house is complemented by a perfect interior – you really have thought of everything…We are so reluctant to leave!

Our whole experience of Casa Lucia and yourselves has been great from our first enquiry. You have been helpful and informative. Nothing though prepared us for the amazing location. It is as if the mounains were put there so we could appreciate them from Casa Lucia. We were amazed when we first arrived to see the fantastic views and the lovely house …the kitchen is extremely well-equipped and everything in the house is finished beautifully. We had the most lovely week here. Casa Lucia will remain with us for a long time. Thank you.
Sandy and Caroline Savage, London.

Our two families had one of the best ever holidays at Casa Lucia. It was like being in our own private luxury resort. The peace and tranquility of the setting and the stunning scenery instantly made us feel relaxed. The beautiful pool was in constant use, from the early morning swim to the end of the day under the stars. With three teenagers to keep amused the outdoor pizza oven was also a highlight of our stay. We held several pizza nights and had great fun with everyone joining in to cook our own pizzas from locally bought ingredients – washed down with local wine.

My husband, 3 children and I had the most brilliant few days at Casa Lucia this Easter. The house is stunning; like being in an E.M. Forster novel. We arrived in the dark so were not prepared for the simply breathtaking views that greeted us when we flung open the wooden shutters on our first morning. Mountain views to die for, sunshine that wrapped around the house all day and utter peace and stillness never experienced before. And then there is Casa Lucia itself. Luxury and homeliness sewn together seamlessly. Doing nothing kept us busy for large parts of the day as there was always the view to stare at if it got too hot by the pool. It was an effort to drag ourselves away to go exploring, but I am glad we did as we found some great family-run restaurants in the hills and a couple of pretty seaside towns to amble around. We are definitely going back to Casa Lucia – we can’t wait!

Christmas 2009
Casa Lucia is a spectacular house in a spectacular setting, you could not wish for more for a family or group holiday. From the moment we spied the beautiful house with its commanding position high up in the hills, we thought we had found something truly special, and this was confirmed on arrival. Every room tells its own story and we loved the design, and the sheer effort that has gone in to create an authentic high-quality Tuscan dwelling made us feel privileged to be sharing this home. The real wood, stone, and marble at Casa Lucia makes it a real treasure. There is so much space that everyone in our party could find their own seclusion, but when we came together to celebrate, the main living room with its fireplace was a really awesome setting. The brilliantly-equipped kitchen inspired our daughters and niece to get involved in the cooking, and we had so much fun with the wood-fired pizza oven. Pizza creation was such laugh, and the oven produced wonderful results with a marvellous Bistecca Fiorentina, and we even managed a gorgeous Turkey!! At night the true silence that we never seem to experience in London allowed us all to get some real rest, but the spectacular views into 3 or 4 different valleys eventually drew us away from the Casa. On Boxing Day, we enjoyed the best ever clear-the-head hike up the hill behind the house. There is great foraging among the abundant olive, oak, and chestnut trees, and each turn rewarded our efforts with another spectacular vista. And it was lovely to return to the crackle of an open-fire to be warmed by some authentic grappa produced by the very friendly locals. Our daughters, Laura and Olivia, called our stay at Casa Lucia, ‘’the best (Christmas) holiday ever’’, and we are all desperate to return to this abode of true tranquility. The Moon family, UK.
